B.D.E.

I have all of these half-written posts about being engaged: having fun as "the bride to be," feeling so loved at all of my awesome wedding showers, registering, visiting the gynecologist, finding a wedding dress, and many of the other things that went into getting married. Interesting though the posts may be, they all seem pretty insignificant now.

I got married.

And it was the BEST. DAY. EVER.

I love my husband.

I love married life. It's kind of like normal life, but better.

I know I'm officially married because I'm starting to say all of the cliche things that married people always said to single me:
"Married life is the best! You should try it."
"Just wait, you'll find the right one for you."
and then speaking in "we"'s: "We just love you..."

So there's that.

I'm an old married woman.

Ahh...correction: an old, married, happy, woman.

...Mrs. Simmons...

So any way, how do you describe the best day ever? I don't know. I realized that even after the video footage, the many pages I wrote in my journal, the estimated 7,000 pictures (photographers, 3900 + My Dad, 2000 + John's 700 + all others) that were taken of the single day, and the hundreds of conversations that Ryan & I have had pre-and post-wedding, I'm not sure it will ever be captured.

It was more beautiful than I expected. Every moment was fun. And with the 29 years of anticipation, the 4 months of planning, the sacrifices that so many of our loved ones made to travel across the country to attend, the concern about the logistics and implementation of all wedding day events, and the significant stress that we had over the weather, it all turned out perfectly. Better than I dreamed. But again...those still aren't the right words and since I may never find them, here are some pictures that John, one of my father-in-laws (see how I naturally I used that term?), took with my camera.
