Reasons to be Thankful

That I'm married to such a talented man that can turn our little apartment into this:

That my food was pretty delicious (if I do say so myself)

That Stephanie Nielson is okay, not just because of all that she's been through in the past year, but also because she had to go to the hospital on Thanksgiving day and wasn't able to come to dinner.

And that even though she couldn't come, we were able to share our dinner with her family (Ryan's cousins and my neighbors from Provo), the Clark family:

That Andrew knew how to and was willing to carve a turkey (I still have no real idea how to do it). Thanks Andrew!
And although we've spent the past three Thanksgivings together (2008 & 2007), I'm so grateful to be married this year and not have to go home to our separate apartments.

Simmons . . . THAT IS AMAZING. My mom and I knew you could pull off something like that! But it's still unreal to see it. (By the way, Kimberly, I am the daughter of Ryan's mission president ... back in the day I was the "little sister" to all the missionaries and my parents and I couldn't be happier that Ryan found such a wonderful wife! thanks for sharing these fun pics!)

Glad to see that "Enchantment Under the Leaves" lived on this year. Or did it have a different title? I had a great Thanksgiving, but nothing will compare to 35 people in the apartment last year. I miss Harlem.

Hello... I too found your blog via Nie and CJane... LOVE the way you all decorated your apartment. I too am hoping you will post pics of your Christmas holiday decor.
Anyway to found out how you achieved such a pretty Thanksgiving look? Are the trees made from paper or cloth? Where did you get all the light (hanging and on table)?
Your whole family seems to have an uncanny sense of style and abilities. It makes simpletons like myself green (with envy). :)
