I believe in resolutions
I believe in making resolutions every year (though I usually wait until a week into the New Year, so I'm good and ready to keep the resolutions).
And while I often make a weight-loss/exercise resolution at this time of year, this time around, I'm making a resolution to make more pies.
That's right. Eat more sugary, and delicious pies.
52 to be exact.

Why?
Well...there's really not much more to say than what I've already said:
My husband likes eating pie,
I am also a big fan of eating (anything, but especially sugary things),
I love cooking and baking,
and while I've made some delicious pies in my day (if I do say so myself), I've also made some...um...not so good pies.
So all in all, I'm hoping to 1-feed my husband, 2-bake more, 3-expand my pie repertoire, 4-and in so doing, try to become some type of a pie extraordinaire.
And hopefully, even with all this pie, my weight-loss resolutions won't have to be reinstated until next year.

Wow! I have to comment on this. (This is Marilyn (Nelson), I know you from high school.) This is THE BEST RESOLUTION I have ever heard. You have inspired me. I would love to do something like this sometime. Thanks for the great idea! (And congratulations on your marriage; you seem really happy and you guys make a great couple! I'm so happy for you!) I'll be following your pies with great interest. :)

Cath tells me that you just painted the apartment. I am considering gray for my office and would like to know which grays you used and see pictures if possible!!!
Fun pie project. I have never been a big fan of pies (give me a cake any day over a pie) but I do have a couple favorites. Do you have Cath's Sour Cream Lemon Pie recipe? It ranks right up there as one of my favorite desserts. YUM!
