We don't know that much about math, but we know that Pi=3.14
Just don't judge us because that's ALL we know about pi.
We do, however, know and love PIE.
(you may have noticed that, though)
So combining all of our mathematical knowledge with a bit of our baking and decorating forces, we decided to celebrate pi(e) in all it's glory on what seemed to be the most appropriate day:
3.14 (i.e. March 14).
I made 6 pies:
Apple and Tart Cherry
Lemon curd with a Rosemary crust
Chocolate cream
Blueberry
Banoffee
Key Lime Pie
(And we also had a generous apple pie contribution, thanks again Carrie & Erik)

So bummed that we missed out. It looks so delicious.
you are so much cooler than I! I was lucky to be on the ball enough to make 1 (and can I admit that it looked kinda sad??) Someday I want to come to one of your shindigs! Maybe I'll have to stop by the city..
That looks like a fun party. The pies look delicious and tell Ryan nice work on the decorating. Wished I lived closer so I could have come over and had a bite or two...or three...:)
oh rad. thanks for giving me another reason to move back and play (not that i needed any more reasons!).
Ryan is a lier. He said you took no pictures! Looks like a great time!
tay
I love this idea.
We had pie at our wedding instead of cake.
I will be having a PIE (3/14) party sometime and copying everything you did here.
And I am jealous that my cousins Tay and Jamie were invited and not me, even though, you don't know me.
Thanks for inspiring ideas on your blog.
I LOVE this idea! I've only known one other person to celebrate Pie Day (a friend from high school). But I think everyone should. We could all use more pie. :) And WOW - go, you! You made so many pies! You're pretty much my hero right now.
i'm going to stop reading your blog cause it's making me SICK!
that looked so fun and delicious. I work in a bakery and we didn't even have pie.
Oh for goodness sake...this is too cute for words! I did have one friend mention it was Pi Day but I was certain she was mistaken and said unless she meant piE Day, I wasn't planning to observe. PiE Day, however, would be my favorite of course (I told her). Now look at you, decked out in pastry fedoras and your Pie pennants! Cutest idea ever! Bookmarking and saving for next year. You are still my new favorite. :)
look at you too, the life of the partys, i love it and how stinkin creative your hubby is. our next girls getogether i calling your in charge of desert.
sheesh girl, where did you learn how to have so much fun? what a great party!! was there any coconut cream...???
I thought of you two on Pi day and just knew you would be celebrating! I love the decorations and can hardly believe I haven't tried one of your delicious pies. I am going to have to get myself to New York! We love you!
This is one of the best parties I've ever been to. The Pi(e)s were amazing!
My son's math class does "Pi(e) day as well with homemade pies! Fun party....your husband is such a fabulous decorator, and your pies look yummy!!!!!
You are amazing, Kimberly! I am so impressed. Making pie has always scared me. It is the crust. I just don't think I have it in me. Since you say your "cutie pie" loves pie, he must be in heaven! Great job, Domestic Godess!
Pretty sure "pie blog" is the greatest thing I've heard of in a long time.
What fantastic pictures and post!!! Just made my day miss... :)
So wish I lived closer to you...I think ryan and I would have really had fun at your pie party. Dang!
yeah for pie day... i'm very impressed with your skills and i even spotted myself in the corner of one of your pics.. proof that i tried them
You are so cool.
The end.
